51 Shaktipeeth Parikrama Path

The 51 Shaktipeeth Parikrama Path was conceived and developed at the sacred pilgrimage destination of Ambaji, Gujarat, as a spiritual tribute to the 51 Shakti Peeths — revered holy sites associated with the divine feminine energy, Adhyashakti. Initiated under the auspices of the Gujarat Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board (GPYVB), the project aimed to enrich the religious experience of countless devotees and pilgrims visiting the site annually.

Strategically planned around the Gabbar Hill, which is believed to be the original seat of the Goddess, the project involved the construction of 51 prototype temples, each meticulously designed to represent and reflect the architectural and spiritual essence of one of the original Shakti Peeths located across the Indian subcontinent. The entire temple circuit was integrated into a carefully laid Parikrama Path, offering devotees an immersive pilgrimage experience within a single sacred route.

Spread across a significant stretch of land, the project not only emphasized spiritual reverence but also focused on enhancing the infrastructure, accessibility, and aesthetics of the site. Supporting facilities such as paved walkways, lighting, seating arrangements, water facilities, landscaping, and signage were incorporated to ensure visitor comfort, safety, and convenience.

The project was completed in the year 2014, and stands today as a symbol of Gujarat’s commitment to preserving and promoting its spiritual heritage through holistic infrastructure development.
